Therapy Services

My priorities are focused first and foremost on building a safe and trusting relationship with you. I strive to create a supportive environment that will allow you to create connections, expand relationships, and achieve the life you want. I value connection, authenticity, and curiosity, and focus my work on accessing the innate wisdom of our bodies to help guide and inform the healing practice. I am trauma-informed in my approach and recognize the need for a holistic understanding of the relational connections between the brain and the body.

In my work, I explore how one’s past can affect one’s present and the ways in which our bodies have adapted in service of safety. I am passionate about joining you to hear your stories, learn from your experiences, and be curious about how your stories and journey have been shaped and stored in the body. I am committed to providing a supportive, caring, and nonjudgmental space in order to embrace the healing journey, and focus is placed on collaborating around ways to help you feel empowered to make positive change.

While I weave a variety of therapeutic techniques and training into my work, all of them come from a  trauma-informed approach that recognizes the need for a holistic understanding of the relational connections between the brain and the body.  The foundations of my work stem from the Polyvagal Theory, specifically connecting to and exploring how the body responds in service of our safety. I am a certified Brainspotting practitioner, and this along with the Polyvagal Theory, parts work (IFS) and narrative approaches have become very influential in my work and have helped those I team with to achieve their highest form of healing.

Brainspotting is a powerful, focused treatment method that works by identifying, processing, and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain, trauma, dissociation, and a variety of other challenging symptoms. It makes use of the natural phenomenon of where you look impacts how you feel through its use of relevant eye positions. This rapid, highly effective mind/body-centered therapy technique appears to go beyond cognitive awareness and connects one to the body’s innate wisdom to heal itself.  I am trained in Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).

I am a wife and a mother of two, and a dog mom to two rescue pups. In my free time, I love being outdoors and active in nature, and also enjoy reading and spending time with family.
